Liverpool are prepared to smash the world record transfer fee in order to land Kylian Mbappe, according to French newspaper, L'Equipe.

The France international is one of the most in-demand forward in Europe at the moment following a season in which he guided Leonardo Jardim's outfit to the Ligue 1 title and the semi-final of the Champions League. Naturally, suitors started circling and the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been mentioned as a destination.

However, Jurgen Klopp's side have now put their hat in the mix and are putting together a bid in excess of £100 million pounds in order to claim Mbappe's services.
