Portugal manager Fernando Santos has claimed that rotation will happen to his starting XI this afternoon when his charges take on New Zealand in the last match in Group A of the Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the players tipped to be given a rest as he has played non-stop football for a year now for club and country. The opponents today are yet to claim a point in the group and stand as probably the easiest competitors for Portugal, so CR7 may start on the subs bench and be brought on if required.

"Everybody wants to watch Cristiano Ronaldo, even I want to watch Cristiano Ronaldo," Santos told the media yesterday.

"I don't know if I'm going to play with Cristiano or without Cristiano. Obviously, rotation will take place, that I can tell you."

The game takes place at 4pm GMT.
