Ronaldo's Real Madrid bullied by Manchester United

Ronaldo's Real Madrid bullied by Manchester United

Thursday, 13 July 2017

Following a long, hard season in which the Ballon d'Or winner played nearly every game for Real Madrid and then Portugal in the Confederations Cup, he has been given a well-earned rest as the remainder of his team-mates head to the United States for the International Champions Cup, but it has not been a good few opening days of the trip for Los Blancos..

Real Madrid and Manchester United are reportedly currently involved in a bitter spat during their respective tours of the United States for the International Champions Cup, according to the Metro.

The prestigious pre-season tournament has saw the two European giants cross the Atlantic for some money-spinning friendlies, with each setting up initial camp in Los Angeles. As expected, the facilities made available for two of the biggest clubs in world football have been state-of-the-art, but it turns out if you are not fast, you are last, as Madrid discovered this week.

The Spanish capital club had hoped to train in the impressive Drake Stadium and stay in the prestigious Beverly Wilshire hotel in Tinseltown, but they have been beaten to the punch for both of these locations by the Red Devils, who arrived in America a day previous.

As a result, Real Madrid have had to place themselves in their secondary choices which has further cooled the already bitter relationship between the two clubs over the years. Jose Mourinho will no doubt have relished the opportunity to get one over on his former employers, while Madrid's pursuit of David de Gea over the past few years has did little to build any bridges between the two organisations.

One this is for certain, Cristiano Ronaldo won't care, as he is currently sunning it up with his family on holiday.

I did already.
